From Sara Wight Photography… Being an NYC girl, I have a special place in my heart for Northwest CT. The beauty and the charm that encompasses this area is breathtaking. So when Emily contacted with me about shooting her wedding at the private estate known as Four Winds in Salisbury, I was over the moon. Pair the amazing views of the Berkshire Mountains with the brilliant event styling Pete Hathaway and the floral design by Felicity Bontecou and you have nothing short of perfection!

From the Bride… Much of our relationship centers around the outdoors. We live in New York City and escape on most weekends to the Berkshires in Connecticut. When Andrew and I set foot on the grounds at Four Winds, the estate of a family friend, we knew it was the perfect spot. An expansive lawn and an incredible view overlooking a lake and the Berkshire mountains were exactly what I had imagined for our wedding.

Shortly after finding the perfect location I found the perfect partner to make my vision a reality. Pete Hathaway of Hathaway Young completely understood the “modern, country chic” look I wanted. Lots of white, elegant flowers and lighting and a ceremony that would highlight the natural surroundings.
