We’re ALL about random acts of kindness around here. And when it comes in the form of styled-to-a-T-bloomage, it’s a win-win. Coined “The Lonely Bouquet,” the idea is to place a bouquet of pretties around your neighborhood and brighten the day of an unsuspecting stranger. Cute stuff, right?! From Krissy of Pollen Floral Design… The inspiration for this little shoot came from The Lonely Bouquet Project started by a small, organically run flower garden in Belgium called Fleuropean. In a nutshell, the goal of the project is to spread joy to strangers by leaving Lonely Bouquets around your neighborhood for a lucky someone to enjoy.
From Fleuropean, “The basic concept of the Lonely Bouquet goes a little something like this: 1) pick flowers fresh from the garden or forage straight from nature, 2) arrange the flowers 3) add a signature “take me!” tag, and 4) leave the homegrown arrangement behind for a lucky local to take home. Voila! You have just delivered a handful of flowers that will surely put a smile on a stranger’s face.”
We had a lovely time running around Boston’s beautiful South End searching for the perfect spot to leave our bouquets. Even Max, the black lab, took a little bite out of one! Hopefully, this will inspire florist, gardeners, shopkeepers and everyone else to spread the love with some beautiful blooms!! Check out all the different bouquets at #thelonelybouquet!!
