Friday’s seem like the perfect day to get lost in a destination wedding weekend. It’s a little break from work to peer inside the makings of a beach affair in Sayulita. Photographed by Matt Edge with planning by Luz Ochoa with Sayulita Weddings, this is a celebration that marries the vibrancy of Mexico with a toes in the sand celebration and it lasted a whole week. Now that is how you do a destination wedding. Check out the gallery for even more.
From the Bride… Both Cory and I wanted a wedding that wasn’t just one night. A wedding in which people showed up only to leave hours later without forming a connection with our venue or the other guests wasn’t an option. We strived to provide an environment where the build up to the ceremony was palpable. A situation where our wedding would be the perfect send off to the perfect week. With an amazing combination of culture, fun, and beautiful surroundings the town of Sayulita made this all possible.
Marring each other with the view of the ocean behind us, our best friend officiating, and our closest friends and family surrounding us was always our dream. Everything had a personal touch that represented the two of us. The flowers on the table represented the Tucson desert and the colors of Pasadena. The music from the first dance to the dance playlist was all hand picked and meaningful. Even the late night taco man was a dream fulfilled. In the end it was simple, we threw the party that each of us wanted to go to.
