This is the kind of wedding I wish I could crawl in and live in forever. From Erica SerenaWOW, where do I begin? Karla and Chris’ wedding was so very glamorous and elegant!

Karla had a STUNNING couture wedding gown with lace, bling and complete with a 6m tulle train and 4m veil. The straps were all Swarovski crystals! She’s normally a pretty laid back – jeans and top sort of girl, and for her wedding day, she wanted a shock factor. She wanted to surprise Chris and feel like a princess for the day.

Karla HAD to have her baby Maggie (the dog) in the wedding photos. That was a non-negotiable aspect of the day. Not being able to make that possible at the church, Karla arranged for a friend of hers, to bring Maggie to her Parent’s house where she got ready, just for 15 mins so they could have some photos together. She was the perfect Bridal Dog and managed to get two whole pages to herself in their wedding album!

The morning of the wedding, Chris surprised Karla with a BEAUTIFUL Prada handbag! And Karla returned the favour by giving Chris a pretty awesome watch. It was just gorgeous being there to see them each read the personalised cards they had written to one another, as well as open their wedding gifts.

The theme of the wedding was a mix of vintage and glam.
The bridesmaids wore soft, long lilac dresses with vintage style flowers, and vintage hair pieces.
The groomsmen wore sharp black suits with silver/grey ties
. Chris looked very sharp in his custom made suit and white tie.

The Catholic Church was absolutely full, emotional and just gorgeous with about 230 guests. Her train looked magnificent photographed from the choir loft. It was also very cleverly designed so it was detachable, so Karla could dance all night long in a more practical gown without tripping over.

The reception decor had a lot of sparkle… from the massive crystal chandelier placed over the dance floor to the place card frames, individual menus (with a touch of bling…),
Chill out furniture, wedding cake and centrepieces to name a few… There was also a vintage style candy bar and a photobooth for guests to play in.

From the Bride… Chris and I wanted our wedding to be a big celebration, full of lots of dancing. We asked our bridal party to stay on the dance floor after they walked in, and then when we entered we had asked our MC to ask the guests to stand up and have their first dance with us as a married couple.

We really wanted to set the tone for the rest of the evening, and it did! Our walk in song was DANZA KUDURO by Don Omar, feat. Lucenzo… very upbeat and gets those hips shaking!
We still have comments from the guests saying that was the best idea because it got them up dancing early!

Honestly, I married the man of my dreams.
All the planning and all the stress leading up to the day just goes… everything is a blur… Our wedding was
Romantic, Pretty, Magical, Dreamful, Elegant and Fun…
But my bonboniere to myself, was my handsome Groom, can’t be happier than that.

We had a 4 course sit down European menu. Antipasto, Entree, Main, Dessert … followed by wedding cake and candy.

Q.

My favorite moment of the wedding day?

A. Seeing Chris waiting to meet me at the altar… I honestly did not notice anyone else, I was so focused on him.

Q, Deserts + Cakes?

A. Tiramisu was served as dessert as well as our wedding cake which was a 4 tier cake with different flavours in each tier.
We had caramel, white chocolate, blueberry and chocolate mint.

In case that wasn’t enough for the sweet teeth in the room… we had a candy station full of all sorts of delights to match our colour theme.

Q. Did you make anything for your wedding?

A. Yes… I made our wedding invitations, ceremony books and ceremony basket, place cards, menus, I sourced the final touches of bling for all the centrepieces, sourced all the candy and designed our wedding cake.

Q. What had you smitten?

A. All day Chris had the biggest smile on his face. From the moment I laid eyes on him in the church to the very end of the night, that smile is a smile I will never forget.
Lucky for me it’s a smile I will get to live with now, for the rest of my life.
