Invite me to a pretty garden wedding and I’ll show up with my best chapeau and a whole lot of excitement. They are just my favorite. So romantic and so, so pretty. It goes without saying, therefore, that a garden soiree from Forever Photography Studio on the blog makes for a very happy wedding blogger. Very happy indeed.
From the photographer… Bayly and Gary met during the fall of 2008 while both were attending Texas Tech University. The two connected through mutual friends and decided to take a trip together to attend the Austin City Limits Music Festival. They have been inseparable ever since.
In August of 2011, Bayly and Gary set out for a trip of a lifetime. They would spend the next three months backpacking across Europe. The trip would take them from San Sebastian in Spain to Prague in the east of Europe to Amsterdam and across to Sligo in the northwest of Ireland. It was exhilarating and exhausting. During the trip, on October 9th, Bayly’s birthday, the two went out to dinner in Venice to celebrate. After a long and romantic dinner the two strolled through St. Mark’s Square, listened to various string quartets and admired the beautiful city at night. After finding a small courtyard tucked away from the usually crowded streets, Gary bent down on one knee and asked Bayly to spend the rest of their lives together. The rest is history.
When Bayly and Gary returned to the states they moved to Austin, Texas. While wedding planning they fell in love with the Tuscan setting of Villa Antonia. Their inspiration for the wedding was a vintage feel that was elegant yet comforting. Bayly fell in love with a vintage Monique Lhuillier wedding dress with delicate lace and a touch of gold intertwined throughout. For her bridesmaids, Bayly chose a pale pink, long, strapless, tulle gown with a trumpet skirt also by Monique Lhuillier. The earrings she wore were a family heirloom passed on from the early 20th century. They are an intricate design of fine pearls with a stunning stone in the middle. The earrings completed the wedding dress. Gary wore a modern-fit black tuxedo from J. Crew. The entire evening was filled with love and excitement. One of the sweetest moments of the evening was Gary’s first glimpse of Bayly. Overcome with happiness, he could not help but wave to his beautiful bride-to-be as she and her father walked down the aisle. True to their style, a delicious meal and a raucous party filled with music and dancing followed the ceremony. Jona and Jerry of Forever Photography beautifully captured the night. Bayly and Gary were sent off with a dazzling array of sparklers. Before the guests made their way home they were treated with breakfast tacos and an assortment of salsas.
