Ojai Garden Wedding from Lavender & Twine

If there was a "cutest couple ever" award, it would go to Abby and Mike. No question. Because when you've got a pair as lovely as these two mixed with a wedding right in keeping with all that cuteness, it makes for a celebration we adore. It's a blanket of jewel toned florals and white pumpkins crafted by Bella Raines Garden Studio along with the sweetest images by Lavender & Twine and you can get cozy with it right here in the full gallery of Fall inspired perfection.

From Roya of Bella Raines Garden Studio... A modern day fairytale. A modern day princess (she works at Disney, in the princess department!) and a funny guy (really! A comedic writer for sitcoms) meet and fall in love. Start the wedding planning! October is of course a beautiful time of year to get married. October in Ojai, California...magical. The weather is still warm but the crispness of fall has set in and the colors of Autumn have well taken way.

Our palette was a nod to fall without being overwhelming. We chose shades of orange, brown, green, and gold. For a little pop we added hues not normally paired with fall tones, bringing in colors that complimented the lavender gardens of our venue and the gorgeous Ojai sky. As such, in came our array of blues and purples! We went from a lighter lavender blue for the table-scapes, to a darker blue for the bridesmaids dresses from TwoBirds. Each bridesmaid wore her dress differently (the fabulous thing about Twobirds!) and each bouquet featured a different color.

The table-scapes were made up of elegant silk heather blue table covers with DIY burlap runners to add a bit of rustic charm to the look. Galvanized pails, DIY bark candleholders, and stained wood boxes full of fall florals (with just a touch of lavender) made up our centerpieces. The beautiful and intimate venue was an old Victorian bed & breakfast in downtown Ojai, The Lavender Inn. With it's historic charm and beautiful gardens we didn't need to do much to make the wedding as beautiful as it was.

The one crucial must have for our princess bride...pumpkins of course! Instead of the everyday orange pumpkin we wanted something with a little more personality, so we opted for Cinderella pumpkins. We decided that the light variety would give us more of an elegant feel, but that specific shade can be difficult to come by. We collaborated with a local pumpkin farmer and planted their very own crop of wedding pumpkins. We planted the crop in July and just like their love, the pumpkins grew! and grew...and grew! The harvest took place just days before the wedding. 100's of pumpkins, grown just for the event, and each guest received their own pumpkin to take one home.

The garden grew into a party well into the night.. and of course, they lived happily ever after!
