Mexican Beach Wedding from Adrienne Gunde Photography
Yeah... it's a good day. A Mexican beach, yellow flowers, lots of love kind of day. Adrienne Gunde Photography is behind the images you're about to fall for and we should all thank her for not just capturing a phenomenally beautiful (fun, stunning, happy...) day, but for doing it so swimingly.
From the dashing groom... We decided to have an intimate destination wedding! My friend (best man #1, Jeff) got married in Riviera Maya 6 years ago, which is where we originally got the idea. We did additional research and did a site survey last August, and really fell in love with the resort.
Once we arrived at Azul Fives, Karisma Hotels would then use their onsite wedding coordinators and the local distributor, Lomas Travel, for the physical set up of the venue, flower arrangements, music, hair and make up, food and beverage, and also airport/hotel transfers for guests.
It was Rose's creativity and imagination to include the wooden poles and sheers, and the paper lanters for the reception. Normally, Karisma Hotels and Lomas Travel will provide a bare bones reception set up, but they are open to suggestions and customization, and will do a great job in making sure their clients' ideas come to fruition. We decided to bring the decorations ourselves, to be more cost effective. We brought the paper lanterns, chalkboards, name cards, and easels and packed them in our luggage! We also brought over the giveaways, which were the French macarons. The macarons had to be frozen to make sure they made it over.
Our special day went very smoothly. All vendors were organized, professional, and on time. There were few hitches along the way, but the Karisma and Lomas Travel vendors quickly resolved them. Our photographers, Adrienne Gunde (and Alice Hu as the second shooter) were excellent. Their style is very non invasive and we (and our guests) felt very comfortable around the camera. Overall, we had a very good experience with all the vendors' services. It was a great day for us and our guests can say the same. We received nothing but compliments the day after on how memorable the day was!
