From Sylvie Gil… Paris is my home. I moved to California for love but Paris has always stayed in my heart. When I walk around San Francisco City hall, I think of Paris, the huge golden gates at Les Tuileries, beautiful gardens and the amazing architecture. Lindsey, also has a love affair for Paris. When we put this shoot together, we tried to create the ultimate romantic wedding we would hope for in Paris. The scooter was a must and so was the table for two, the whimsical dress, the macarons, the thank you “postcards” with vintage images of Paris, the individual cakes and Max Gill beautiful flowers. Everything was shot on film and our team was such a pleasure to work with.It was nothing but “la vie en rose” for a day in our life!
From Lindsey Relyea… My inspiration came from my own obsession with France and my recent engagement in Paris. I see touches of Parisian and French influence here in Northern California, the romantic garden settings with dramatic architecture. For this shoot I wanted to acknowledge the soft pastels with a touch of modern sophistication and have fun which the French definitely know how to do! The SF City hall is such a dramatic and gorgeous backdrop for a ceremony, though nothing quite tops the eiffel tower.
I dreamt of a sweet intimate wedding with the Eiffel Tower towering over them. Walking through the Jardin de Luxembourg with champagne in hand. Riding off in the sunset on our vespa to a dinner in the gardens.
