Keswick, Virginia Wedding from Liz Maryann Photography

This is one of those weddings that really needs no introduction. Because the pictures from Liz Maryann – well, they pretty much speak for themselves. Think blush pink prettiness amongst the rolling vineyards of Virginia, with the work of Sarah Park Events, Elegance and Simplicity and Momental Designs at the center of it all. So rather than blab on second longer, let’s just get straight to the goods, shall we?

From Liz Wegrzyn (The Bride and LBB Member) … Our whimsical fairytale wedding was a diamond in the rough, to say the least! Everything was carefully planned out with all the little details, down to the entire soundtrack of the day. The wedding took place in beautiful Charlottesville Virginia at one of the many beautiful vineyards Virginia has to offer. Keswick Vineyards overlooks rolling hills of green that made for a picture perfect day! The bride wanted a fairytale, vintage, and bohemian wedding with blush tones, lavender and ivory. Lavender is one of the bride’s favorite flowers so it was incorporated throughout the theme and placed in everything including boutonnieres, napkins, centerpieces, bouquets, potted plants, and even used to relax the bride as she was getting ready for the big day!

The bridesmaids’ each chose their own dress out of a few blush shades the bride picked out. There was some trouble along the way finding the right shades, so some of the girls bought ivory dresses and dyed them with hibiscus tea to get the perfect shade of blush! There was definitely some trial and error, but it was so fun! The ribbon that was used to tie around the napkins (hand sewn by the grooms mother) and favors were strips of lace cut out by the bride and also died with hibiscus tea for the same effect as the bridesmaids’ dresses.

The centerpieces were also very well thought out, using vintage silver tea sets that were collected over time from mostly thrift stores and antique stores from all over Virginia. Elegance and Simplicity carefully designed the floral arrangements with different flowers in each container to achieve the whimsical feel the bride was looking for. The tables were also dressed with a blush lace overlay. The bridesmaids’ floral crowns were made by the bride and her bridesmaids the night before the wedding, also with a bit of trial and error, but again… super fun!

The food was also planned out perfectly since the groom is a chef he wanted the food to be the best part! The Local was able to achieve the farm to table approach we were going for.We also had a donut truck that helped make the vision come to life with yummy hot freshly made donuts and coffee from Carpe Donut of Charlottesville. Our cake had the most amazing flavors of lavender cake with lemon curd and blackberry buttercream also Almond cake with dulce de leche and hazelnut buttercream with cascading flowers. Oh my! All in all the entire day was truly a magical day with friends and family from all over the globe, joining together to celebrate the love uniting between two kindred spirits.
