You know how they say you can buy fashion, but you can’t buy style? I think weddings are sort of the same way. No matter how much you prep and plan, spend and splurge, a great wedding really comes down to the bride and groom behind it — couples like this Brooklyn pair who add that unspoken cool factor from start to finish. (And of course, having incredible vendors like Isabelle Selby and Jove Meyer Events doesn’t hurt one bit either!) Catch every second of this style-infused affair right over here.
From the Bride… We really could not have asked for more from our wedding day. Flatbush Farm was a gorgeous venue, complete with a brick and ivy- covered backyard that lent itself well to the relaxed atmosphere that we wanted. They supplied the food and drinks, so we had an amazing dinner without having to deal with a caterer. The day before the wedding was cold and rainy, but we lucked out with warm and sunny weather. Live music seemed to follow us throughout the day, from the Shins rehearsing next to our hotel as we got ready to neighbors playing music from their back patios as we ate dinner. One of my favorite things about the wedding was how much our community was intertwined with the details: my ring and shoes were Julians grandmothers, my brother designed our ketubah, a friend designed our programs, my friends and I made the centerpieces, and both of our families contributed recipes for our cookbook favors. Each of those details, and many more, will always remind us of our wonderful friends and family.
