DIY Alberta Wedding from Debbie Wong Photography
From start to finish, this Alberta affair from Debbie Wong Photography is just downright adorable. The kind of adorable that makes your heart do flips and your fingers anxious to start pinning all the pretty. You might even want to spend all day soaking up the sweetness, and you can do just that right here.
From Debbie Wong Photography...I'm excited to share a wedding I photographed last weekend on August 10, 2013 in Red Deer county, Alberta, Canada. The location was held on the grandparents flower farm and the theme was a rustic, vintage farm wedding. The bride and groom, Nicole and Justin, chose a neutral palette to fit with the theme. The bridal party wore nude neutral colors while the groomsmen wore grey and black. Nicole and Justin collected and made most of the decorations, while some were from second hand stores and others were family heirlooms or pieces from friends and families. The little white dresser with the mirror is an antique piece and has been passed down generations in Nicoles family. Bridesmaids and family members also made the desserts and wedding cake, and the maple syrup favors was made from the groomsmans family farm in Ontario. There was definitely no shortage of help from friends and families to create Nicole and Justins vision and bring it to life. Nicole and Justin opted to have two first looks. The first look when Nicole wore her vintage like shorter dress in the afternoon and the second before their sunset ceremony. The reception food was Mexican, a build your own taco style buffet. Nicole grew up in Mexico during part of her childhood and she wanted to incorporate that part into her wedding.
