Taking rustic farm inspiration and raising it to a level that shines through with elegance is the name of this photo shoot’s game. And it’s infused with a dash of French flair for good measure because, really, who doesn’t love a little dose of Frenchy goodness? From Cedarwood Weddings…We created a farm reception with an organic feel that represents wholesome values and the simple pleasures of life. Influnced by the French Farm asthestic (and being a historic farm venue ourselves), we paired rustic wood elements with the patina of weathered furniture, containers and pots. We used minimal flowers and let our herb garden provide most of the materials for the bridal bouquet, centerpieces and the twine-wrapped bouquet garni table top favors.
Boots and simple cotton dresses for the bride and her flower girls express beauty in simplicity, while the farms resident puppies reflect the sheer joy of celebrating in wide open spaces. Eco-friendly unbleached cotton napkins, ticking table runners and pillows add a touch of humble sophistication to the natural eventscape which we repeated in invitations and paper goods. Our goal was to create an organically elegant, un-fussy environment reminiscent of European countryside celebrations that evoke a longing to kick back and stay a while.
