Asian Art Museum
There are a million reasons to love San Francisco, that's for sure; but since my introduction to the iconic Asian Art Museum, I've got a million and one! The stunning + sophisticated Beaux-Arts building was constructed in 1917 and renovated in 2003 by famed architect Gae Aulenti. Boasting travertine columns, carved stone arches + breathtaking, ornate ceilings, this venue is an absolute stunner.
The Asian Art Museum has four amazing event spaces as well as three floors of art galleries (couples can choose to open the galleries for their guests' to peruse) that only adds to the elegance of this fabulous locale. My favorite part? The modern court with clean, sleek lines and amazing glass ceilings which are the perfect juxtaposition to the classic sophistication of the rest of the museum.
And how cool is this, couples who choose to be wed at The Asian Art Museum are helping support the museum and their push to preserve and display more than 18,000 works of art and maintain this incredible and iconic building. For additional details, and to book your big day, head over here! xo
