Fernandina Beach Wedding from Tonya Beaver Photography

I could get lost in Florida weddings forever, and I often find myself doing just that. For instance, this morning I spent far longer than I would care to admit with this beauty at the Oyster Bay Yacht Club captured by Tonya Beaver Photography. Because, really, how can you not linger a little longer with a wedding this lovely? It’s filled to the brim with pretty, and you can linger as long as you like right here in the full gallery of images.

From Tonya BeaverCaroline and David had an amazing wedding day. It was in spring time which in Florida is generally really warm, but a random cold front came through and made the day FREEZING. These two didn’t care about any of the cold weather or expected rain, they just wanted to get married. And that they did. I met Caroline and the girls at a little condo beside Oyster Bay Yacht Club for their getting ready shots. I loved Caroline’s choice of colors and decor. From there we headed over to the boats to capture David’s getting ready shots on the family yacht. The setting on the water made for some really fun wedding. The ceremony started, and it was so moving. There was not a dry eye in the place. My favorite moment was when they each put a note in a box that Caroline’s grandfather made, and the officiant locked the box with a key. Later guests were asked to write notes to the couple which was also included in this box. On their first year anniversary they will open the box to relive all the emotion from their wedding day and the start of their new life together. After the ceremony, we did a few photos around the club. The lighting was gorgeous, and the couple to me just looked like models.

The reception was FUN to say the least. The cold air blew through the porch the whole night, but everyone was having so much fun that nothing else mattered. The toasts were incredibly entertaining especially when David’s two brothers got up to speak. David was embarrassed (not to mention their poor mother)! We cut the cake + cupcakes and headed back out for more fun. The couple slipped outside with me to take a few “night time shots” out by an old oak tree then we slid them through their exit with all of their guests waving sparklers around them. What a perfect ending to a perfect day.
