Romantic Inspiration From AJ Photography + Always Alexandra's Weddings & Events
You could say that I am a little bit of a romance junkie. One that never, ever tires of soft, lush florals, lace anything and honest to goodness true love. So this inspiration shoot from the talented team of AJ Photography and Always Alexandra's Weddings and Events? It's basically my dream come true with a fairytale gown from The Frock Pot, rustic-inspired details and a breathtaking Dawnville Farms setting that is all kinds of wonderful. See it all right here.
From AJ Photography... I have always truly loved the simple beauty in the country. The rolling fields, old fences and amazing trees, I wanted to showcase the soft romantic side of it all. Nothing makes it more complete than a beautiful bride and her horse, hanging lanterns from extended branches and a intimate dining setting within it all.
I wanted to take that simple country setting and amplify it with true elegance and romance showing how you can create this beautiful wedding. Each detail from the burlap bags with old wooden crates and sign to the cowboy boots bring true country. Add in the romantic elegant table setting and cake and you have an amazing intimate country romance.
I teamed up with Alexandra from Always Alexandra's Weddings and Events and showed her a table setting I was in love with, the picnic table and lanterns were a must. From there her creativity took flight. Together Mikki from The Frock Pot and I hunted down the wedding dress to match it all, once we saw the blue ribbon the color base was set. Together with some incredible vendors we were able to make this all happen.
From Always Alexandra's Weddings and Events... The country is such a elegant and romantic dining setting, two thing I love. Once we decided the stylized shoot would be at a farm, I designed this table that combines it all. The oil lamp, the wild flowers in different shaped vases and the burlap bags that AJ Photography found, gave the table a country feel where as the satin runner, napkins and sashes as well as all the fine glassware, candles and place cards add the elegant part to the table.
I purchased many of the items used at thrift stores, antique stores and home sense. I made the lace table cloth and I used a variety of white pillows from home unifying the theme with the periwinkle sashes. The cake table is an extension of the country elegance by combining a beautiful elegant cake made by Cakes with Attitude placed on a lace table cloth accented by sticks and wild flowers bringing out that romantic feel.
