Justin DeMutiis and beautiful weddings go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly, snowy days and hot cocoa and Colin Firth and Mr. Darcy. They are just seriously meant-to-be. So when a Mr. DeMutiis masterpiece comes our way, we are known to throw a little bit of a virtual dance party (as you can imagine). And today’s darling nuptials? Well, they are all kinds of crazy amazing with a classic meets contemporary vibe, gorgeous purple hues and a breathtaking beachside setting. See every last beautiful moment in the full gallery.
And a sweet film from Voila Cinematic to wrap up the day…
From Justin DeMutiis Photography… We’re excited to share this glamorous, fun, beach chic wedding with you! You will see gorgeous contemporary mirrored vases and pedestals, an abundance of fuchsia phalaenopsis orchids and peonies, and fun bubble chandeliers hanging from the market lights. Mirrored vase trios, pearl luster chargers, tables named after the couple’s favorite places elegantly displayed in clear frames, clear chiavari, footed candle holders with floating candles, chandeliers with hanging glass “bubbles,” all white ceremony with mirrored pedestals of various heights framing the altar and displaying orchids, callas and hydrangea, cool down table with Avian misters, fan programs and hand towels, dessert display with ridiculously pretty fruit tarts, petite fours, cupcakes and more!
From the Bride… Our ultimate goal for the wedding was to have a classy and glamorous event, yet personal and fun for all our family and friends. Having this outside at the beach initially gave people the thought of flip flops and sundresses, but starting with our invitations we made sure to evoke the feeling of a chic and romantic weekend wedding event!
We searched for a location on the beach, with a beautiful stretch of land and sunset to end the day. Also important to us was the ease of commuting to the location for our guests. Marco Island, Florida offered the most flexibility for flights from New Jersey and one of the most beautiful beach and sunset locations we saw! Once we decided on the island, the Marriott was a no brainer. The hotel is spectacular; large enough for our party, food to brag about and plenty of pools and beach areas to be together, yet able to enjoy your own private vacation. When we planned our destination wedding, we knew some family would not be able to travel and join us. Unfortunately my grandparents were in that group. As a way to make sure she was with me throughout the entire day, we pinned her cameo on my bouquet. This was a gift from my grandma to my mom, and was my something old and something borrowed for the day, letting me have her with me from the ceremony all the way to the last dance.
Having a destination wedding means leaving behind what we know and love, and having our day in a new place. But by personalizing the table names with our favorite places, we were able to bring a piece of home with us. We even named our sweetheart table the restaurant we had our first date. Being from North Jersey, the food is the focal point of the wedding. Specifically the cocktail hour and desserts. In Florida we realized the dinner was the highlight and loved that. But also in keeping with our home, we made sure to lay out an impressive array of local desserts from one of the best bakeries in Naples. As expected, the desserts were a hit!
We wanted a time to be with all our family and friends where we were not rushed, comfortable yet special, and most of all memorable. By having a weekend event with a Welcome Party on Friday, the wedding on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday we were able to have a real conversation with every guest and still enjoy all the special moments ourselves. The last 15 minutes of the wedding was rained out, canceling our sparkler exit. But everyone continued at the rooftop after party and made sure to create our sparkler tunnel to run through just as we imagined! All the vendors we worked with were outstanding and put together the wedding of our dreams. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and now are left with the most amazing memories to last a lifetime.
