Romantic Day After Shoot from Brancoprata

I’m the first one to admit to admit that I love Brancoprata. Like love, love, love. They are the super talented duo behind this two day after the big day shoot with André behind the camera and his uber talented wife, Sofia, on the design and floral side of things. Have a look at the imagery that combines gorgeous photographs of a glowing Mr. and Mrs. and fun, elegant details perfect for pinning.

From Brancoprata… When Gigi ask us to do a shoot just two days after her wedding day, we were head over heels with excitement, after all, on her wedding day she wore a second dress but it was so late in the evening that we didn’t get a chance to take almost any pictures! We immediately booked the session for the next Monday, after the wedding and didn’t thought about that again!! On Sunday night André looked at me and said… “Do you know what it would be fun? If we could do a styled shoot with Gigi and Eric tomorrow!!” Of course i couldn’t say no to my favorite photographer so with only a few hours to plan, I started to think about what should we do! We both thought about the same place, beautiful Gerês in the north of Portugal, our inspiration was starting to take shape… a romantic afternoon in the mountains… in the wild! Later that evening (really, really late actually!) we texted Cátia (André’s sister and make up artist) to see if she was available to do Gigi’s make up the next day… she was happy to join us and now we were really getting excited about this impromptu styled shoot! On Monday morning I went to my flower supplier and chose some blooms that were literally leftovers from the weekend! When I saw the proteas I knew that was it! Dark reds, pink, yellow and peach were the colors and as soon as I got the flowers, I ran into a local fruit shop to buy some fruit to incorporate, i thought it was the perfect touch! With less than two hours until the shoot I got to our studio and started to hunt for cool stuff to use! I sat in from of my computer and imagine a clean and very simple invitation (so different from what i designed for their wedding day)! Some personalized menus and tags for favors, soaps from a local company that we love, Castelbel felt perfect! The final touch, napkins with a flowery pattern! It was truly a race against time but when Cátia finished Gigi’s make up, we put everything in the car and started a 1h30min drive until the chosen location! With less than an hour of good light, André saved a few details to shoot on the next day, at our studio! It was truly a race against time but looking at these images i wouldn’t mind to start racing again!
