Manhattan weddings are the epitome of sophistication; the crème de la crème of glamour, if you will. So when a talented photographer like Sara Wight sends us a little Manhattan ditty, we bask in its beauty like it’s no one’s business. Because is there anything better than lush blooms from OVANDO, a swank reception at One if By Land, Two if by Sea and two sweeties in love? Answer: no. Join us in the gallery for soooo much more.
From Sara Wight Photography… Felicia and Peter had planned on marrying in Italy, the bride’s native country. The ailing health of Felicia’s mother forced the couple to rethink their plans and hold the wedding in their hometown of Manhattan. They were married in a traditional Roman Catholic ceremony at the Shrine Church of St. Anothony of Padua in the West Village. The reception was held at their favorite restaurant, One if by Land, Two if by Sea. The couple loved the old-world European charm of this venue, as well it’s rich history (it was once Aaron Burr’s carriage house), not to mention the restaurant’s delicious menu! A trumpeter and pianist added ambiance to an already elegant affair.
