Beach Wedding in Perth from DeRay & Simcoe Photography
This couple is so in love, it's palpable. Like it jumps straight from the computer screen and right into your heart the very second you lay your eyes on their smiling faces and non-stop happiness. It's the kind of love that is downright contagious... and their wedding? A serious day of pretty with a seaside ceremony, stunning blooms from Twigged and a whole lot of breathtaking moments captured by DeRay & Simcoe Photography filling the gallery. Join me there for every last second of amazing.
Sophie and Adam's ceremony took place under a handmade chuppah on the beach under blue skies with magical, fluffy white clouds. The beach was Pinnaroo Point in Hillarys, Perth. The reception was also held beachside and featured one of the most amazing sunsets we've ever seen at a wedding. The bridal portraits were taken on the beach straight after the ceremony and then at the Hillary's Boat Harbour just outside the reception venue. They had whimsical flowers in a 'wild daisy' style and they made lots of DIY goodness for the reception. Sophie made the place cards herself, their family helped out with the decor and Adam decorated the surfboard with the couple's name and wedding date.
The bride's family made the trip to Australia from their home in the UK. It meant so much to Sophie to have her Mum and Dad with her on her big day. Sophie's sister, Rachel was her bridesmaid along with two other dear friends who flew over for the event. They got ready at a quirky beach house near the ceremony.
The groom's family is Jewish so there was a lovely sprinkling of tradition including the breaking of the glass at the ceremony and the crazy Jewish dancing at the reception. Adam's 102-year-old Uncle Rudy was an honoured guest. Adam is very close to his whole family.
Their celebrant Terry Healey wore a "go-pro" video camera to capture all of the action of the ceremony. Following the ceremony, all of the guests truly enjoyed the dancing, including their visitors from England.
This wedding was such a pleasure for us to photograph. The couple is so in love, sweet and tender with each other at all times. Their families made us feel so welcome and we really felt like part of something special at this wedding.
