Long Beach Wedding from Ashley Dang Photography
Sometimes when a wedding is this crazy gorgeous, I struggle to find the right words to describe its awesomeness. I call it the "power of pretty," aka, the complete speechlessness that takes ahold when I stare at drop-dead gorgeous details and breathtaking settings. And this beautiful Long Beach affair? Well, it's giving the "power of pretty" a whole new meaning with a sleek and contemporary vibe that is out of this world amazing. I'm talking succulent-filled blooms from Primal Flower, the fab stylings of Trebor Nevets and a bride and groom who are the epitome of chic. From Ashley Dang Photography... Kris and Chrissy dreamed of a simple, yet mod chic wedding near their home in Long Beach, California. They worked with their interior designer, Steven from Trebor Nevets, to achieve this look by incorporating succulents throughout the ceremony and reception area of the funky yet oh-so-stylish Hotel Maya. Keeping it consistant with their simple yet chic look, they asked their family and wedding party to wear black and white while Kris had his suit custom made in a blend of black wool and silk fabric. One of the show-stopper moment was when Chrissy put on her satin/silk bowtie gown. It wrapped her body so perfectly, it made everybody grin with envy.
Incorporating something borrowed and blue, Chrissy had Shelley from Primal Flower wrap her grandma's handkerchief onto her succulent bouquet. She is also wearing her mom's earrings and clear-rhinestone flats (because she is a practical bride after all).
Another unique element at their wedding was the magician! They flew him in from Las Vegas to entertain the guests during cocktail hour and during the reception all while having a jazz trio play music throughout the night.
