From the Katherine Salvatori… Taylor and Craig’s wedding was amazing to be a part of. I absolutely loved that they wanted to incorporate a classic, elegant feel with the brightness and light of summer. Taylor’s Oscar de la Renta gown was the perfect fit for this classic wedding, it was simple, flowing, and stunning. I also was in awe of the Hamilton pocket watch on Taylor’s bouquet that was a family heirloom. Her florals had a regal feel to them with the periwinkle, ivory, and light pinks. Taylor and Craig are genuinely in love, and that was the highlight of this wedding for us. There were tears of joy the whole day, and it was a pleasure to be a part of.

From the Bride… Craig and I first met in college. One of his friends was dating (and is now married) to one of my friends, so we hung out as a large group a lot. We clicked right away, but it wasn’t until after college, when we both moved to Chicago, that our relationship turned into something more. The friendship that we had built over the years turned into a love that I never expected, and can’t live without. It’s such a blessing to marry your best friend and I look forward to spending every day of the rest of my life with him!

Our wedding inspiration… Summer in the Chicago area is beautiful, so Craig and I knew right away that we wanted to get married outside, and the atmosphere at Independence Grove was perfect – natural with a bit of rustic elegance. I wanted our wedding to be colorful and summery and incorporate my favorite color, periwinkle. We were lucky enough to find bridesmaids dress in the perfect shade, and we worked from there, working in bright blue hydrangeas, deep pink dahlias and light and airy hues of pinks and greens with our flowers. We wanted our wedding to be elegance but fun and bright!
