Getting married overlooking the great city of New York at the Tribeca Rooftop in none other than a Monique Lhuillier gown to your true love pretty much sounds like perfection to me. And one look at the images below from Lauren Gabrielle Photography, and you’ll quickly see it was indeed just that. With sweeping views and a stunning space filled with florals from Verde Flowers, the stage is set for one gorgeous gallery, and you can see just that right here.
From the Bride and Groom… We first knew of each other in high school. We attended the prestigious Bronx High School of Science. She was the UES (upper east side) girl and I was just a middle class kid from Sunnyside, Queens. I don’t remember speaking one word to Melissa in HS, but I certainly noticed her from a far. In August ’10 we bumped into each other at a party and began dating shortly after that. We got along famously and the rest is, as they say, history. One of our first dates was to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, pausing to admire the views, eventually, eating a pie at Gramaldi’s, and ending seated by the promenade over looking downtown Manhattan while listening to 1990’s R&B/Hip-Hip on a shared headset. After a year and half of dating, we took our second walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. Wynter, in what would be foreshadowing, wore the exact same thing he wore on that early date. Under the first tower, Wynter asked a couple to take a “picture”. Under the pretense of posing, Wynter dropped one knee to the boardwalk and asked Melissa to be his wife. She said yes. And the entire thing is on video, because Wynter asked the couple to video the proposal. We were a NY couple having a NY wedding. We wanted it to be magical and represent a large portion of who we are. We, individually, have really tight knit groups of friends who love to have a great time. There was a lot of personalities and a lot of people from a wide spectrum of social economic and racial backgrounds at our wedding. The event space was the Tribeca Rooftop, with an outdoor ceremony outdoors, and a gorgeous sunset over the Hudson. [dotted]
