This couple is so cute I could squeeze them. And their wedding captured by Jasmine Nicole Photography at Oak Hill Farm? Equally squeezable. I found myself oohing and ahhing over every image sitting in this gallery, because it’s all just so darn adorable. And so full of love. Which if you ask me, is one fabulous combination. See the entire day right here.
Less than a month later when we were officially engaged and Bob was head over heels about Oak Hill as well, we went into full swing wedding planning. We are a very creative couple and collaborated with Bob’s parents, who are also very handy, to DIY most of our details. Bob’s mother is an avid tenured quilter and I wanted to incorporate that, so she sewed a quilt that we used for our “guestbook” and now have it hanging in our house on display as a piece of wall art. She also sewed all of our burlap and lace table runners which gave a cozy, rustic feel to the reception. Bob worked with his Dad for several months to build various custom chalkboards to use as signage and created lawn games such as cornhole and ring toss. I was busy visiting local garage sales a few months leading up to the wedding and scored a fantastic vintage croquet set that we used during our cocktail hour lawn games, a vintage window to display old wedding photos of our loved ones, and a bright red wagon that my twin 11-month-old nieces were pulled down the aisle in.
The day of our wedding could not have been more perfect. Seeing everything come together with all the things we did ourselves was an unforgettable moment for the both of us. My favorite portion of our reception was releasing floating paper lanterns into the sky; every couple made a wish for us upon release of their lantern. As Bob and I stood arm-in-arm surrounded by hundreds of lanterns floating in the sky, I knew I would cherish that moment forever. It truly was the most breathtaking ending to an amazing day full of love, laughter, and a happily ever after.
