Edmonton Wedding from Ryan+Beth Photographers
This wedding is crazy cool. Crazy cool with sweet DIY details (think fab paper goods and beyond gorgeous stylings) and an amazing duo that will make you smile the moment you lay your eyes on all of their awesomeness (and there is plenty of it). From the Bride...Ben and I wanted our wedding to be very personal and intimate and have a fun, casual atmosphere. Our first step towards planning the wedding was to figure out our priorities. We envisioned a beautiful and unique venue with a rustic feel and were fortunate to find a large log cabin at the edge of city which was perfect. Food is very important to us, we both cook a lot and love going out to eat; we are also vegetarian and really wanted our guests to have a wonderful meal that showcased how delicious and creative vegetarian food can be. I love to sew and craft so I knew there would have to be lots of handmade elements. We also both enjoy antique and thrift shopping and wanted to incorporate some vintage items; I was especially lucky to still have monogrammed table linens from my great-grandmother's wedding that fit with our decor perfectly.
In an effort to reduce garbage, we tried to used recyclable and biodegradable materials where possible. We were grateful to have help from our families and friends; Ben's mother even spent the summer growing flowers in her garden for the bouquets! Music was an important element for the wedding; we walked down the aisle to my bridesmaid singing Calico Skies accompanied by our friend on guitar, and the ceremony concluded with Ben singing me an adorable song while our wedding party played instruments. After dinner, it wasn't long before the music playlist gave way to karaoke for the rest of the night! Our wedding was so full of love and it was truly a reflection of us. We feel so fortunate to have been able to share it with our friends and families and thanks to our photographers, Ryan + Beth Photographers, these memories are captured so beautifully. The day couldn't have been any more special!
