Color Blocked Wedding Inspiration from onelove Photography

Color makes my heart happy, period. So when onelove photography decided to pull together the poppiest palette and throw a little color “block” party (witty, right?), I knew we were in for a big, ol’ treat. I’m talking major style moments and boatloads of pretty thanks to WINK! Weddings and Flour LA. And whether you’re the queen of neutrals or bright colors are your comfort zone, there’s no doubt you’re gonna want to pin this shoot like there’s no tomorrow. So let’s get started, shall we?

(Pssssst: Don’t miss this sweet behind-the-scenes peek from Reign Film!)

Colors

It’s 1964. Audrey Hepburn and Frank Sinatra are the style icons of this time, and the colors are bold and bright. The setting is the block of a suburban neighborhood. A “block wedding” with friends. The couple is wed at a church downtown, and then heads back to their local neighborhood and pulls all the furniture out onto the street for a party under the sun and stars.

Colorblocking in the design brings the “blocking” theme in figuratively and literally. Sass and jazz and dancing in the street with gimlets in hand. Hula hoops twirling as a record player sings for a dance party in the street!

Shift dresses and miniskirts for the girls. These were mainly designed in fluorescent colors and shiny fabrics. The boys are classy; “The City Gent look.” Shirts were slim, with a necessary button down collar accompanied by slim fitted pants.
