Vintage + Rustic Wedding Inspiration from Foto Flare + Enticing Icings Custom Cakery
You know what Tuesday needs? A big dose of delicious inspiration. And I'm talking delicious in every sense of the word. Delicious styling by Mashed, delicious florals from Settings and de-li-cious treats from Enticing Icings Custom Cakery. It's simply as good as it gets. I only wish I could reach through this screen and sit at that gorgeous table, but the images by Foto Flare Photography are just as yummy. See them all here.
With a love of everything vintage and rustic, we wanted to create a stylized shoot that featured on-trend pieces that brides would relate to while including unique features. The theme was romantic vintage with a rustic feel, hence the tree slices and pine cones in all of the settings. Flowers included an assortment of hydrangeas, carnations, viburnum, ranunculus, garden roses, spray roses, wax flowers, statice, Queen Anne's lace and eucalyptus.
The sweets tables(including cupcakes big and small, cake pops, and candy) adorned with lace, tree slices, vintage frames and pinecones created the perfect vintage/rustic feel against a lace and burlap backdrop. A 3-tiered rustic live edge cupcake stand held an array of sweets in tea cups and bird cages. Mason jars wrapped with twine filled with gorgeous pink and cream roses atop vintage dessert trays completed the romantic feel of the shoot.
Vintage windows and frames provided the ideal backdrop for our cake table. A beautiful grandeur flower arrangement including creams, pinks and greens created an eye catching focal point alongside our gorgeous handmade sweets. The stunning cakes featured cascading handmade ombre gumpaste roses and buttercream rosette swirls. A handmade burlap flower completed the look. Cupcakes and marshmallows lined silver and green vintage trays and filled teacups situated in birdcages.
The sign in table was backed with distressed shutters and offered a gorgeous handmade wishing tree for best wishes from guests. A rustic mailbox offered a unique alternative for a money box. Various flower bouquets filled milk glass vases, mason jars, and a rustic tin to finish the look. Marshmallows surrounding a vintage vase with pink roses provided a sweet treat to welcome guests.
Guests were able to find their seats by using the handmade burlap bulletin board situated on a vintage chair atop a tree slice. A rustic chalkboard and picnic basket along with mini cupcakes and roses in mason jars added the finishing touches.
Guest tables featured a combination of vintage and rustic decor including a vintage suitcase, a tree slice, antique books, and mismatched vases filled with roses and greenery. Pinecones, a burlap runner, and a matching burlap table number wrapped up the look perfectly. Scrabble letters spelling "LOVE" added a unique romantic touch.
