From Joe + Kathrina...Titus and Erin first connected because she loved mountain biking--and he was impressed. Erin wasn't your typical girly girl and on her wedding day as she slipped on her lace dress, with hair and makeup done she knew Titus would be surprised to see her. And he was, in a great way because she sure looked beautiful. She also surprised her mother by wearing her old veil, that Erin and her sister had just redesigned to make look more current. Erin added a girly touch with lace all throughout her wedding details--from the flower bouquets and boutonnieres, to the center pieces. On top of recycled doilies, the centerpieces were made of mismatched vases with purple florals and added tchotchkes all about love. Renting a few vintage pieces tied everything together. They included Mad Libs and a cookbook (because Titus' second love is food!) as a sign in book.

Taking advantage of the Mission San Juan Capistrano right across the street, we made our way there after the ceremony for more photos. Three days before the wedding rain started to show in the forecast, and with an outdoor wedding they needed to order tents set up asap. Thankfully the venue worked quickly and even with the rain holding out until the reception, the air was frigid but the place felt so quaint and cozy. Titus' father is a pastor so naturally he was the officiant, speaking in both English and Chinese for family and friends, which made for a very personal ceremony. Erin really wanted to incorporate Titus' Chinese heritage so she found a Lion Dance group to come after dinner to do a performance--it was such an amazing site with drums and two dragons dancing to a beautiful performance. This dance also signifies luck to the couple, and with rain on their wedding day also, we think Titus + Erin are set on happily ever after.
