Van Gogh Inspired Shoot from Orange Blossom Special Events + Birds of a Feather

I minored in Art History during college, so I like to think I know a thing or two about Van Gogh. But in reality, my knowledge pretty much start and ends with The Starry Night. And while I probably couldn’t rattle you off all the fancy pants interpretations of his work, I know for darn certain this photo shoot from Orange Blossom Special Events and Birds of a Feather’s Rebecca Fishman hits the nail on the head. Take a peek and get yourself seriously inspired right here.

Colors

From Orange Blossom Special EventsThis was a total passion project for me. I absolutely adore Van Gogh and wanted to find a way bring his artistry into the wedding world. Some of the main elements I really wanted to focus on were color and texture. The color palette was inspired by “Landscape with Wheat Sheaves and Rising Moon” and we focused on texture with the wheat in the flower arrangements, the shapes of the china and glassware and the sculpting on the cake. I truly feel that each vendor was able to put a little “Van Gogh” spin on their work and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From the custom-designed gowns (Tashina was so inspired, she couldn’t decide on just one!) to the flawless hair & make up to the perfectly created flowers and the impeccable photography, I feel that we truly created something uniquely pretty that will inspire many brides to come!
