Georgia, Georgia, Georgia. You have weddings down pat. It’s as if all the Brides in your pretty parts have a magic wand to wave over their days and create the most perfect of parties filled with sentiment…they almost appears effortless. Now, I know that isn’t the case, but weddings like this one captured by Claudia McDade Photography make me feel like I am seriously missing out on some Georgia girl secrets. But this wedding? It’s simply filled with too much heart to have succumbed to the wave of a magic wand, and that makes me love it even more. See all the pretty here.
From the Bride… The happiest day of our lives– For Michael and myself, it was our dream to have an outdoor wedding. Being stationed in Ft. Benning, Georgia allowed us to seek that dream in the lovely and ever-so-charming Georgia. We faced many challenges in realizing our wedding and it took us about 2 years to finally see the wonderful day. My husband unfortunately faced post deployment hardships that made it a bit difficult to continue with our wedding plans; his mental health overruled and became significantly important. With all the trials and tribulations we faced, his betterment came as a blessing to us and our lives were back to normal by December of 2012. We decided to give our Big Day another go. Our wedding meant that much more to us because we had endured so much in so little time. It would be a day to share with our friends and family; the love and loyalty we share for one another. It was to be a symbol of our love for one another and in this, sharing with our loved ones who stood by our side through one of the toughest times of our lives.
Our theme would be Romantic with a palette of blush, gold and hints of sea-foam. We were so blessed to find such wonderful vendors the second time around! I was more than happy to add to it with my tiny touches for the stationery. All our vendors worked with us in making our dreams come true.
It was finally here! Our Big Day! We are so honored to have had such a wonderful team coordinate, plan and decorate our wedding. It took a large burden off our shoulders and allowed us to truly take in the small moments that pass us by so quickly. We had family and friends come from all over the States and other countries to share in our love at the Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club in Douglasville, Georgia. What beautiful lush scenery awaited us. The day was so serene and gorgeous. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was perfect! We were so thrilled to share our vows with everyone and celebrate! The food was delicious along with the cake and drinks. It was all smiles for us as we danced the night away.
