This shoot defines lovely. Lovely with a side of some serious style. Lovely dreamt up by Erin Ostreicher Designs and Christina Bernales, and made possible by one talented team of vendors. The images sitting in this gallery captured by Christina Bernales Photography are overflowing with inspiration, so do yourself a favor this morning by letting yourself get lost is all the lovely right here.
From Christina Bernales + Erin Ostreicher… We collaborated with some wonderful vendors in Vermont to put together a Southwestern, Aztec inspired styled shoot. We wanted the color palette to be colorful, bright but soft, incorporating creams, teals and ivory colors into our decor with a touch of gold and aside from the flowers, stationery, plates and soup bowls, we sourced all of the items in our shoot from antique stores in the area– carefully selecting items that looked casual but not rustic, since we feel that the rustic look is often overdone. Some of our ‘shopping’ was done at the Vintage Inspired Lifestyle Marketplace in Burlington, Vermont. One of the vendors there, Jolene, has the most stunning collection of vintage wedding dresses! We chose to stick with a very casual look for our model, Lulu Lovering.
We used cacti, succulents, feathers and geometric patterns in our styling to bring the Aztec theme together and Erin created an ombre arrangement on the mantle above the fireplace to frame our table. She also handmade the statement sterling silver ring out of southwestern turquoise and the necklace with quartz and pyrite using an up-cycled brass pendant. The beautiful pottery/serveware we used was courtesy of Julia Paul who creates stunning hand thrown pottery. We felt the colors of the glaze and terra cotta fit in perfectly.
Planning this shoot was so exciting! We are thrilled with the way it came together.
