Napa Valley Wedding from Glow Event Design + Gavin Farrington Photography

Napa is in a league all of its own. It's true. After years of pouring over weddings, there isn't anything that makes me stop and swoon like a beloved wine country wedding. So when a fête like this one from Glow Event Design and Gavin Farrington Photography lands in my lap, I melt into a pile of wedding-loving mush. And really, there is no other way I'd rather be. From Glow Event Design...Jenn and Jamie chose a private estate nestled in wine country for their rustic outdoor wedding. The ceremony was held on the estate lawn overlooking a pond with the vineyard in the background. Afterwards, guests walked along a winding path that led them to a beautifully remodeled barn for cocktails, dinner and dancing. We worked together to create an aesthetic that was country chic and lively, while still staying true to their classic style. Navy was selected as their "classic" color base, then we brought in pops of bright raspberry and striped linens to liven up the interior of the barn. Jamie's hobby is woodworking and he handmade all of the wooden signage, chalkboards, table numbers, and most impressively, the wooden chuppah for the ceremony. After the wedding he turned the chuppah into a garden swing for the couple's new home together. For favors, Jenn and her Mom made fresh strawberry jam bottled in mason jars. Instead of a cake, the couple opted for a dessert station featuring cookies, fruit tarts, and creme brulee. The guests danced the night away in the candlelit barn and soft glow of the market lights. Luminaries were placed outside along the pathway for guests to find their way home at the end of the night.
