Maggie and Mike live in DUMBO and were engaged under the Manhattan Bridge overpass, so it was an easy decision for them to get married in their neighborhood. They said their vows in a sunset ceremony officiated by Reverend Jesse Hendrich in Brooklyn Bridge Park with the Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and the New York City skyline as their backdrop. Bagpipers from the NYPD Emerald Society Pipes and Drums led the guests in a parade from the ceremony grounds to the reception venue. Lavish chandeliers and layers of moss decorated the gothic structure of Galapagos Art Space. Guests munched on quirky appetizers during the cocktail hour, such as “Maggie and Mike” m&m’s and popcorn, while The Doug Acosta Band of Elan Artists sang swanky tunes. The photo booth provided by Sara Wight Photography was a huge hit and guests even brought cut-out faces of the bride and groom to wear throughout the night. DJ Tevis Jory of Sugartown Industries took over where the band left off and kept the party going well into the wee hours. [dotted]
