From...Lacey and I woke up around 7:30am, with a minor case of 'hair of the dog' from the evening before. Our friends, Adam and Darryl, threw us a party to celebrate our upcoming nuptuals. In attendance were our friends Tommy, Arend, Christina, and Tara. The party was lovely and we enjoyed ourselves a little too much! That morning I woke first, gave Lacey a big fat kiss, and headed off to the nearest Duane Reade to fetch breakfast for my lovely bride to be. Around 10am, the amazing Lindsey Zelli showed up to start on our hair and makeup. She is a makeup artist in New York City, and made us look and feel like Princesses for the day! At 11:00am, Megan Wynn and Ben Poenisch arrived to the room for pictures and video. Like always, they captured the day from start to finish perfectly, and made sure everything ran seamlessly. At noon the car arrived at the hotel, and we were wisked off to Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. The sky was blue, the temperature had risen to a steaming 54 degrees (better than 20 from the day before), and the park was packed with tourists and true New Yorkers alike enjoying the park on this 3-day holiday weekend. We walked to the Bethesda Terrace, greeted by several friends, and hundreds of onlookers. As we started the ceremony, the crowds started to surround us. We even noticed onlookers on the beautiful bridge behind us! The ceremony was beautiful, Lacey looked like an angel, I cried, and after our 'I do's', singer Christina Brehm sang an AMAZING rendition of "At Last" by Etta James for our first dance. After everything, we hugged our amazing friends in attendance and headed out for pictures with Megan and Ben. We took pictures in Central Park near Bethesda Terrace, in Grand Central Station eating pizza, and Brooklyn Bridge making our first toasts as a couple!!! The day was simply amazing!!! At 5:30pm, we headed back to our hotel in Columbus Circle after a long, but PERFECT DAY, AS A MARRIED COUPLE!!!
