This is a study in just the right amount of bright. It’s enough to make this wedding go POP without overpowering all the classic details of the reception crafted by A Stunning Affair + Brad Austin. Think stunning seaside affair with a line-up of coral dresses like you wouldn’t believe and a photographer who knows her way around a dreamy image. That would be Sarah Yates of Birds of a Feather and you can see the full set of dreaminess right here.
From A Stunning Affair…Claudia and Eddie got married at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, CA. All of their closest family and friends gathered on the terrace to witness them recite their vows. Down the aisle we displayed lanterns and hanging from the chairs were petite glass vases filled with flowers of the day. To keep their guests cool, we placed bamboo fans with programs on each chair.
The beautiful bride, Claudia wore a one shoulder lace gown and added a few sprigs of Lily of the Valley to her hair. Claudia also carried a textured bouquet filled with Creamy Blush Garden roses, Vendela roses, Lily of the Valley Bush, and Blushing Bride Protea. Each of Claudia’s bridesmaids wore a different dress in shades of coral and carried green and white bouquets with a subtle hint of blue. Their dresses were reminiscent of the colors of the sunset. The groom and groomsmen all wore tan suits and light blue ties and were adorned with textured boutonnières. The bridal party couldn’t be complete with out our ring bearers that carried the rings on hand made moss pillows and our adorable flower girl.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour where they sipped on cocktails, watched the sunset and listened to music from their live musicians. To memorialize the occasion, guests were asked to sign their names and best wishes and sentiments to the bride and groom. Before entering the reception, guests picked up their calligraphed escort cards by Laura Hooper. They then entered the reception room which was illuminated with soft amber lighting. Their centerpieces were displayed in a variety of glass containers filled with roses, hydrangea, and dahlias. Each blue napkin held a menu card and was adorned with a sprig of lavender or hypericum berries.
Guests spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away to the sounds of their amazing band from West Coast Music and snapping photos in their photo booth. When it came time to cut the cake, guests gathered around and watched Claudia and Eddie ceremoniously cut their cake from Epicurean Umbrella. We were all honored to be part of such a beautiful day in their lives. Congratulations Eddie and Claudia!
