Boston Engagement Session from Elizabeth Clark Photography

Elizabeth Clark Photography is one seriously awesome bestie.  Because not only did she write the sweetest description EVER of her best friend and her dapper Mr. (a serious must-read), she happened to capture some of the prettiest pics we will ever have the privilege to lay our eyes upon.  Pics that feature the aforementioned stunning duo, the breathtaking city of Boston and a whole lot of l.o.v.e.  Care to bask in every last love-filled moment?  Join me in the gallery for all of the pretty.

From Elizabeth Clark PhotographyThis feature is a special case scenario, as the drop-dead gorgeous lady you are about to view is the one and only Lauren, my best friend since we met at Nobles (in Dedham) in 7th grade. Back in that 1990’s year, she favored wearing Umbros and oversized t-shirts. At some point, those Umbros transformed into mini-skirts and the T-shirts into cashmere sweaters. No matter what style she dons, she is a beauty and, more importantly, one that always makes me happy.

Now I have to admit, as soon as it was obvious that she and her fiance Pat were on a path towards the altar, my gut reaction was “Yes! Best looking models for my portfolio ever!” No really, it was “I am so happy she met this incredibly sweet, funny and cute man.” Or maybe it was “OMG, I am so jealous of that rock” (Pat, you win the Best Engagement Ring contest). The truth boils down to that I am beyond happy for them and for myself. I love this couple more than everything and look forward to years of growing old together.

Since these lovebirds live in the South End, we decided to do a city based shoot. We took a stroll through the Southwest Corridor to Back Bay and the Copley Fairmont Hotel. Along the way I snapped a few shots outside the Boston Public Library and Neiman Marcus, a favorite shopping destination of Lauren’s (I saw the mannequins and figured Lauren and Pat were a mirror image). The Oak Room at the Fairmont was recently renovated, but still holds its old Boston charm (it’s also where we had our high school prom). There we all ordered some drinks and I enjoyed photographing Lauren and Pat as I know them best, my fun-time party buds.

The couple plans to marry out on the Cape this summer – I know it will be an amazing night and that this couple will have an amazing future together as husband and wife!
