Behind the Scenes with Target Registry + Rustic Beauty Party + DIYS

Aside from showing you how simple it is to incorporate your Target Registry picks into real life get togethers, we also wanted to delve a little more behind the scenes for a peek into the makings of this Rustic Dinner Party. We teamed up with our friends who also happen to be the insane talent behind StudioNow to put together a little dinner party montage. It’s a glimpse at the inspiration behind this shoot and a focus on some of the elements that really made it shine.

And that’s not all. Oh not even close. We also have three incredibly easy, heavy on the rustic beauty, DIY’s inspired by our favorite Target finds. These are not only really, really easy peasy but they give that extra little oomph that every special party calls for. From heart shaped wreaths to linen wine bottle labels and right on through to the cutest personalized napkins you’ve ever seen, we have all the how-to’s right here, right now.

Soak the labels off the wine bottles by placing them in a pot of hot (not boiling) water and letting them soak for 20 mins. Gently peel off the labels and use a scrubby sponge to remove any residue.

Pour wine into the clear, label-less bottle and cork it.

Download our wine bottle label template and print out on iron-transfer paper. If you need to change the editable labels, you will need the Bombshell Pro font and Adobe Illustrator CS6. Or you can make your own! Just remember to reverse the image before you print it. Cut out the individual labels and trim any excess transfer paper.

Cut 3 x 1.5″ pieces of linen fabric.

Iron each label onto its own fabric piece. Peel off the transfer paper backing.

Spray the backside of the fabric thoroughly with spray adhesive. Press firmly to the front of the wine bottle, and then smooth with your fingers to remove any air bubbles.

Repeat steps 3 & 4 to make the labels for your favor wine bottles. Poke a hole in one end of the fabric and tie with twine to the mini wine bottle. After your guests have tasted the selection of wines, fill a mini bottle with their top pick to send home with them!

If you need to change the editable labels, you will need the Bombshell Pro font and Adobe Illustrator CS6. Or you can make your own! Just remember to reverse the image before your print it. Cut out the individual labels and trim any excess transfer paper.

Iron the napkins and fold them how you would like to place them at each setting.

Place the label facedown on the napkin, centered and about 1.5” from the bottom edge. Iron each label on its own napkin. Peel off the transfer paper backing, and you’re done!
