SMP is one of the biggest fans of wedding cinematography. Ask us for sage wedding advice and “Hire a cinematographer!” is going to be high up on all of our lists. Which is why we like to pay special attention to these artists every Saturday on the LBB Blog. PenWeddings is here to remind us, yet again, that capturing your wedding on film is not only beautiful, but pretty darn necessary. Enjoy, my LBBers!

From the beautiful bride… In the city of Boston, there are so many options, you have to ask yourself what’s important and what to focus on. For us, we wanted all of our friends and family to be at our wedding. When looking for a venue that could hold 200 guests, we stopped looking the moment we saw the Charles River Museum of Industry. It is a unique, innovative and fun space. We loved the old bicycles, machines and watches. Even better, our guests could climb up on the old fire truck, hammer messages to us in metal, and use the old machines!
We have been to many weddings in our lifetime (Brian has been in 14 weddings!) and what we remembered at the end of the day was an awesome venue, great food, and fun music. So we let the venue speak for itself and didn’t overdo the decorations.
We both love unique food and wanted our wedding to reflect our tastes. When our favorite restaurant, Orinoco, agreed to the job, we were thrilled! Having Venezuelan food was a hit, we had an areas bar where guests could create their own arepa (like a corn pita) with toppings like shredded pork and chicken with avocado salad. They even brought a huge amount of our favorite sauce on each table for guests to dip in!
We spent time picking vendors who we loved and really trusted. When the big day came, we were able to just relax and have a great time! Surrounded by our friends and family, we felt love and joy, which is what the day is all about!
