Pasadena Wedding from Mi Belle Photography

Pasadena. The land of pretty. And weddings in that gorgeous part of the world? Divine. Particularly when captured by Mi Belle Photography like this pretty little number hosted at the stunning Ambassador Mansions & Gardens. It was a day filled to the brim with love, and the talents of some of our favorite vendors including TEAM Hair and Makeup and The Little Branch (just to name a few). But most of all, it was a day celebrating the love between these two now newlyweds, which is obviously the best detail of all. See it all here.

From the Bride...When you’re lucky enough to marry your best friend the rest is just icing on the cake! After eight years of dating Gilbert proposed with my godmothers stunning emerald family heirloom, and just like that we started the journey of planning our wedding. Originally we wanted a destination wedding but it quickly became apparent that not all of our friends and family would be able to join us. To that end, our endless search for a beautiful California venue began.

For the big day we had envisioned an outdoor venue with effortless elegance that would easily lend itself to be the backdrop to one of the most important days of our lives. As fate would have it, one day while perusing Style Me Pretty, I came across a Pasadena venue called the Ambassador Campus. If I had to describe this venue with one word it would be “PERFECTION.” This location transports you to a completely different feel and space, many of our guest said “we’ve live here all this time and never knew this place existed.” We knew we had picked the perfect place.

Once we booked the venue we realized that we only had 6 months to plan our wedding. Honestly, we would have not had the wedding of our dreams if not for the support of our family and friends, and of course having some pretty amazing vendors. Without fail you have to trust that your vendors will be able handle unexpected surprises. One of those surprises turned out to be the unexpected weather.  One would think that “Sunny” Southern California is without weather storms. However the day before our wedding we had thunderstorms. I remember as I was driving over to our wedding rehearsal my iPhone had a flood alert in Pasadena. At that point, my wonderful photographer and event planner kept assuring us that rain or shine our event would be spectacular, and it truly was. The day of our wedding we had clear skies and rainbows, the weather was perfect.

Our advice for all the newly engaged couples is to tackle one thing at a time, once you’ve made a decision don’t second-guess yourself. Also, allow your friends and family to help you, trying to do everything yourself can become overwhelming.  And lastly don’t let the little things upset you because at the end of the day all your friends and family will be celebrating your love and nothing else will matter.
