I sat with this wedding for quite some time. Soaking up the sweetness surrounding the couple and their stunning style. And getting to do so through the picture perfect images from Godwink Art Photography? Well that was such a treat. Because they laid out this lovely love story in such a fashion that will make even the non-wedding lovers out there get a little giddy, so trust me when I say sitting with this one for a while is time well spent. See it all here.
From the Bride… As you can see through our photographs, everything from the most minute detail to the most grand event was brought together in a harmonious blend of vintage style and glorious natural and earthy elements. We wanted southern charm and grace to exude in all our details and plans. Our selection of Sweet Meadow Farms was a no brainer once we arrived on the property. Melanie and her husband have created a sprawling paradise on the 300 acre farm in Tallapoosa, Georgia. Our families are very down to earth and have always shared a deep appreciation for natural scapes where we share much of our time together. The many treasures found on the property include multiple ponds, willows, bridges, rolling pastures, large oaks, wildflowers everywhere, gardens, fountains, barns, a beautiful farm house, and so much more. It was absolutely a dream venue. The owners of Sweet Meadow Farms were warm, welcoming, and most accommodating.
Located inside the farmhouse is the bridal suite and the groom’s suite with great care and detail taken to create the ambiance of the beginning of our special day to be everything we dreamed. The groom’s suite was so very masculine while preserving elegance from yesteryear. The Bridal Suite mirrored the same ambiance found in the groom’s suite, yet in the most feminine and charming fashion. Melanie has made sure that every detail is covered and that her clients will be catered to the upmost extent.
Melanie and her husband made provisions to drive me in the 1951 Hudson Hornet to the ceremony site in a nearby pasture where I made my walk down the aisle to meet my love under the wise 100 year old oak. It was such a kind gesture and yet another detail that this wonderful couple provided for us. As the entire ceremony and all our guests were beautifully mirrored in the still water of the pond, the quiet spring breeze blew and I gave my heart to the man of my dreams. It was pure magic.
Some of the DIY details that we included were the corn hole game, the hand painted pallet signs with various quotes that we love on them, and the grooms cake (baked by his mother) with the banner, the guest favors that included flower seeds and the sparklers for our exit. I purchased all the vintage style birdcages and the other table decor that our florist, Yona, then filled to the brim with the most gorgeous floral arrangements. We purchased a template off Etsy and printed and put together our invites for the event. Additionally, the groom, groomsmen, and doggy all sported hand crafted ties and suspenders made by the lovely ladies at E.W. McCall.
As the reception was held in the beautiful barn, at Sweet Meadow Farm, we included old wine barrels, church pews, antique side tables, and a southern style buffet catered by Gabe’s Downtown. The sweet tea flowed while Frank Sinatra sang his way through the night. It was all amazing. [dotted]
