Tuscany Wedding from Italia Celebrations

Weddings in Tuscany? Stunning. Weddings in Tuscany at Il Borro planned by Italia Celebrations and captured by Jules? Well, that's an entirely new level of stunning. And a level we get to see unfold right before our very eyes in this gorgeous gallery. Think long farm tables, gold-rimmed glasses, stationery from Rifle Paper Co. and the prettiest of color palettes - all under the Tuscan sun (and moon). It's beyond pretty, and you can see every last moment right here.

From Italia Celebrations...Bridie and Daniel met while living and working in Dubai. They were introduced by a mutual friend who knew they were a perfect match. They originally planned to marry in Wales where Bridie's family is from. The venue was all set until Bridie sent a thick file of Style Me Pretty clippings detailing everything from bridesmaids bouquets to cocktail embellishments to a wishing tree and more to show the venue the sort of wedding she envisioned. Suddenly the venue was double booked for that day and would not be able to accommodate them. Stunned and a little desperate they started to get creative and decided on a destination wedding in Tuscany. Bridie found Italia Celebrations online in a posting published by Style Me Pretty. She sent me her thick file of photos and we clicked instantly. For me it was a dream as I loved her romantic, feminine style and it was fun trying to make each of her inspirations come true for their wedding day. The wedding weekend began with a welcome wine and cheese tasting in the piazza of a Medieval hamlet that is part of the Il Borro estate. It was an ideal way to welcome all those who had come from far and wide. The second evening they hosted a barbecue dinner around the pool of the main villa. The menu consisted of typical Tuscan salads and barbecued meats topped off with handmade gelato served from an old fashioned gelato cart. The following afternoon Bridie and Daniel were married at the tiny Catholic church on the estate. The men were so dapper in their morning suits. All day the weather threatened rain but we escaped it by a hair, there was not a drop. The cocktails and dinner took place in the Italian garden and everyone danced until the late hours of the morning. A fantasy come true.

From the Bride and Groom: Daniel and I met when we were both living and working in Dubai. After dating for three amazing years full of travel, adventures and partying, Daniel proposed while we were on holiday with good friends on the Thai island of Koh Samui during a torrential thunder storm! Living overseas meant we had a few options to explore before deciding where to host our wedding.  Dubai seemed too far away for all of our family and friends in the UK to attend and my home country of Wales couldn’t quite cater for what we were looking for. I found my dream Vera Wang dress and Reem Acra headpiece before we even found a venue! Our love of warm weather, great food and a relaxed atmosphere led our search to Italy where we found Brenda of Italia Celebrations.  She suggested Il Borro in Tuscany and we fell in love with it instantly!  When the wedding weekend arrived it was everything we imagined and more!  100 of our closest friends and family traveled from Asia, America, the Middle East and Europe to join us from Thursday to Sunday to celebrate. We wanted the wedding to have a relaxed feel. We hosted a welcome evening on the Thursday inviting guests to a cheese and wine tasting in the Il Borro piazza where Italian folk singers entertained us and on the eve of the wedding we held a Tuscan BBQ poolside complete with a vintage gelato cart.

When the wedding day arrived we had a beautiful Catholic ceremony in the Il Borro church followed by a champagne reception and dinner with the most amazing and delicious Italian food.  Our wedding planner, Brenda, made sure the day ran smoothly and that every last detail was to perfection. Rifle Paper made our invitations and we loved them so much we decided to ask them to design the menus and table names on the wedding day. I handmade a name card for every guest which featured their photo in a Polaroid style!  The two long dinner tables were decorated with natural looking arrangements of my favourite flowers, pink peonies and white hydrangeas. Brenda even sourced gold edged glass wear to fit in with the romantic theme of the table decor. As PR Manager for Crème de la Mer I plan many events and had a very specific idea of how I wanted the wedding decor to look and feel.  Brenda brought this to life on every level and it could not have been more fun planning the wedding!  The DJ was incredible and kept the party going long into the night...the last guests finally left the dance floor and went to bed at 5.30am! It was the best few days of our lives. Maybe we can all return to Il Borro for a wedding anniversary?!
