The Four Seasons Resort at Manele Bay on the beautiful island of Lana’i played host to the unforgettable wedding of Ted and Jeehee on March 31, 2012. With most guests coming from the mainland and Korea, Hawai’I was the perfect destination for their dream wedding. And a dream vacation for their guests who could enjoy five amazing days in paradise. Clean, modern, understated elegance was the inspiration given to the talented Yvonne Chapman of Yvonne Design. The designs started with stronger colors of green, orange, coral and yellow for the more casual Welcome Party, turning to softer shades of yellow, peach, coral, green and off white at the Rehearsal Dinner and softening to the soft, romantic and elegant color scheme of white, pale yellow, pale peach and champagne on the Wedding Day.

Guests were welcomed to the island with a traditional lei greeting, pineapple and tropical fruits in their rooms along with a detailed itinerary outlining the festivities to come. A Welcome Party with traditional Hawaiian music and food accompanied by a beautiful sunset over Manele Bay kicked off the wedding weekend. The following day, after enjoying a golf tournament at the amazing Challenge at Manele course and a cozy bridal luncheon by the fireplace at the Lodge at Koele, guests attended the unforgettable rehearsal dinner at the Challenge at Manele Tee Box on the dramatic lava cliffs of Lana’i. While enjoying the panoramic views of the Pacific and nearby islands, guests dined under beautiful canopies by Mood Event on a traditional luau style menu and loved ones shared stories and well wishes for the bride and groom.

The ceremony on Hulopo’e Beach was as beautiful and romantic as Jeehee and Ted dreamed it would be. A natural wooden aisle built by Mood Event and gorgeous florals by Yvonne Design created the perfect setting as Jeehee walked down the aisle in her beautiful Vera Wang gown. Following the tear jerking ceremony guests were whisked away to the beautiful Hale Halawai Terrace and Ballroom perched on a hill offering panoramic views of the islands of Kaho’olawe and Maui where guests had fun with the polaroid guestbook. The dramatic entrance into the ballroom revealed the stunning event design by Yvonne Design, flowing fabric above and romantic lighting by Mood Event.  After a delicious four course dinner guests were surprised with an amazing Korean dance by the groom’s cousin. Once Nueva Vida had entertained the crowd with popular covers from the last four decades, lighting transformed the elegant ballroom into a club atmosphere and the talented DJ Troy Michael kicked off the after party. The talented Christie Pham of Christie Pham Photography captured amazing images capturing the love and beauty of Ted and Jeehee’s wedding.
