From Nadine Photography… Do you know what’s worse then rain on your wedding day? Fire. This was a really memorable wedding. There was a forest fire on the road leading up to the venue, and many of the vendors like the caterers and band were stuck behind the blockade caused by the firefighters. The photographers just managed to get through. The bride and groom were worried the guests might not be able to come, but the firefighters managed to put out the fire, and everything was just delayed by 1.5 hours and the wedding still turned out amazing.
They had beautiful details, table names were Austin venues, and name labels were hung against a greenery, and beautiful flowers. The bride had home made cookies made by her mom and grandma, the wedding cookies are a family tradition and have been at every wedding in her family
From the Bride… We met and fell in love in Austin and it was great to share one of our favorite places with friends and family. Fire aside, the evening felt like absolute perfection. The details were a labor of love — my sister penned beautiful table names and place cards, my mom made 200 mini cobblers in ramekins, and my mom and grandmother made 700 cookies, a family tradition. An assortment of local drinks and food included “Grandma’s Old Fashioneds,” a tribute to my grandmother, who happens to love the classic cocktail.
We spent the entire night on a packed dance floor with the fabulous Memphis Train band. We were so happy to be surrounded by our favorite people in the beautiful Austin hill country. It was quite the party!!!
