Hard Days Night Texas Engagement Shoot from June Bug Co. Photography

I absolutely adore the Beatles. My entire life has been filled with lullabies by John, Paul, George and Ringo – so this couple’s engagement shoot based on A Hard Day’s Night? I couldn’t love it more. With images from June Bug Co. Photography, florals from Bows and Arrows and styling by Event Styling by Shawna Marie it’s not only fun, but stylish, and you can see every last groovy image right here.

From the Bride… This engagement shoot holds a special place in our heart. Adam works in the film industry, music is an integral part of who I am, we love everything the 60’s represent and the first thing we bonded over when we met was our mutual love for the Beatles. We knew that would play an obvious role in our 60’s themed wedding. We decided from the very beginning that we wanted to have FUN at every aspect of our wedding because that is the epitome our relationship. We are absolute best friends. So instead of standard pictures, we decided, why not reenact one of our favorite movies together? Why not have a chase scene? Why not wear mustaches? We also knew we wanted our wedding to not only be a celebration of our love and personalities but a celebration of the amazingly awesome, funny, creative group of people we are lucky enough to call our friends. So we decided to put our own twist on the opening scene of A Hard Day’s NIght while still creating something beautiful that even our grandparents will appreciate. We would not have been able to survive this nearly 7 hour shoot without our friend’s and wedding party’s willingness to make a fool of themselves on and OFF camera. We are so lucky and even more excited about the big day because of them!

The record details of the shoot were designed by me and crafted by Adam using large format prints that are carefully wrapped around cut shipping boxes. The records are inspired by the Hard Day’s Night soundtrack album, with the words and song titles cleverly changed to stand alone as songs but arranged to announce our wedding. The octopus record was actually found at a garage sale years ago and has become one of our prized possessions! That record is a big inspiration for our wedding day. The artist is unknown.
