3 Spring + Summer Bouquet Breakdowns

I still remember the very first bouquet I put together as a little girl. It was a gorgeous mix of wild flowers, cosmos, greenery and billy ball. That was the moment I fell in love with flowers and every year since, I look forward to spring and summer for that reason, those beautiful blooms. We’ve fallen for many a pretty petal here on SMP, and today we’re getting the detailed breakdown of three gorgeous bouquets we’re crushing on from April FlowersMondo Floral Designs and Pixies Petals. Whether bright + bold, soft + sweet or rustic with succulents, each of these pretties are perfect for spring + summer soirées.

Coral and peach ranunculus, butter yellow and sunset garden roses, coral and blush pinks peonies, white dahlias, yellow hyacinth, purple lilac, yellow yarrow, white button chamomile, fresh lavender, fresh mint, dusty miller and rex begonia foliage.

From April Flowers… This beauty was designed in the heart of spring time when gorgeous flowers abound and there are so many great textures + colors to choose from. This client really wanted a true spring bouquet + aesthetic but without being over-the-top bright or washed out in pastels. We took the best of both worlds and blended them together for a fresh spring look that was neither dull or too shocking. The textures were also important to this client so we were also very keen on the juxtaposition between large full blooms, small sweet buds and foliages. We love the outcome!

Coral Salmonie roses, pink hyacinths, pink Sweet Avalanche roses, lavender Shangri-la roses, a touch of white lisianthus, and a small feature of dusty miller foliage.

From Mondo Floral Designs… The design is a hand held slightly unstructured posy. The inspiration behind this design was to create a pastel inspired bouquet that encapsulated a soft vintage feel, a design that was feminine and dreamy and accented the beautiful coral bridesmaids gowns. I suggested a hint of the ‘Salmonie’ coral rose to pick up the beautiful colour palette represented in the bridesmaids gowns, but also wanted to showcase pastel blooms that featured slightly different textures and tones so the accessorising colour concept would flow beautifully. The small touch of white and the textured silver leaves added the perfect contrast and yet blended wonderfully! This divine design is whimsical yet playful but also so very soft and pretty and suited the overall styling concept for the lakeside hinterland wedding.

Antique blue Hydrangea, Juliet Garden Roses, Blushing Bride Protea, Succulents, Scabiosa Pods, Echinops, Lavender, Viburnum Berries, Silver Brunia and Eucalyptus.

From Pixies Petals… This earthy bouquet was inspired by the couple’s wedding colors, blue, gray and green with hints of peach. We included the Bride’s favorite flowers and love of texture with a beautiful mix of succulents, which appeared throughout the wedding and even served as wedding favors and place cards.
