Being a wedding blogger has put a few super gorgeous spots on my radar, but it doesn’t get dreamier than Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. Ojai is just filled with perfect light and romance for days. It’s ones of those locales that are totally made for a pretty, pretty soiree like this one. Kim Fox Photography captured the dreamy light and the handsome couple, and we’ve filled up a gallery with her gorgeous images!

From the stunning bride … In the summer of 2006, Andrew and I met while shooting a movie on location in Las Vegas, NV. I was the lead actress in the film and he was in the camera department. Because I was portraying a 15-year-old, Andrew didn’t give me a second look, but for me it was love at first sight. Once he found out I was over 21, however, he fell in love right back and we’ve never been apart since.
Six years later we were married at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. The Inn is a luxurious retreat located in the heart of the quaint little city of Ojai just minutes from the Southern California coast. As soon as we saw the property amongst the green rolling hills of Ojai, we knew it was where we would say our “I do’s”.
We chose to have our ceremony outside in the Hacienda garden under a large oak tree similar to the one Andrew proposed to me under. After the ceremony, shuttles escorted our guests to a big red barn just a few miles from the Inn’s property. This amazing old barn was a big inspiration for our rustic/chic wedding. Inside we hung a large chandelier and placed comfy, vintage furniture around the dance floor. Outside the barn under strings of lights and the clear night sky, our guests enjoyed a delicious barbecue buffet. The tables were filled with old books, lanterns, and vintage vases that contained a mixture of succulents, big peach and cream roses, and my favorite…peonies. We had fun with a few DIY decorations including table names that spelled “love” in different languages, an old suitcase filled with real sunflowers that held seating arrangements, and my favorite: painted wood cake toppers made by my friend Jenny Smith.
When planning our wedding, Andrew and I just wanted to throw a great party with good food, booze, and music…and we did just that. Guests danced the night away to our amazing band and enjoyed our photo booth and delicious sundae bar. One of my most vivid memories of the evening is dancing with my dad. We started dancing to a slow country song and transitioned to a fun (and very fast) swing dance. Luckily I had changed into my dancing dress and shoes!
