I am going to go ahead and say it, I SO wish I was a guest at this wedding. Because the reception these two hosted is basically my dream. An al fresco dinner under twinkling lights all set in the gorgeous Sonoma? Does it get any better than that? Why yes it does, when that beautiful fête celebrates two beautiful people. Luckily for all of us we can be virtual guest of this gorgeous soiree thanks to the stunning images from Viera Photographics, and you can see it all here.
From Viera… Fact- Mike is SO in love with Aimee. You can just tell by the way he holds her and looks at her. Aimee and Mike are both from New York, so their wedding was a destination wedding in Napa Valley. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards.
From the Bride…We decided to have a destination wedding in Napa Valley because it represented everything we love; good food, wine and traveling. We were so blessed to have 90 friends and family fly across the country to be there for us. Mike and I, along with our great wedding planner spent over a year working out every little detail. We felt if people were going to make this kind of committment to us we wanted to make it unique and special for them. Very few things in life that turn out exactly as you imagine them in your mind, and this was even better.
We had the most beautiful weather for our outdoor ceremony, something we stressed about for the whole year. The highlight of the wedding was the dinner in the vineyard, people commented that they felt like they were on a movie set.We are huge foodies and wanted the meal to be the centerpiece of the evening. We had one long table set up right between the grapvines with Italian string lights above. Everyone ate an amazing dinner together as the sun set. Most brides don’t eat a plate of butternut squash ravioli then polish off and entire short rib entree but i did! After the dinner we moved into the barrel room for dancing and cake. We had brought in these gorgeous chandeliers and vintage furniture for seating areas and the room had this cool old New York vibe to it. We are also huge cocktail fans and we found these awesome bartenders in San Francisco who made custom cocktails for everyone all night. Also had handcrafted Tequila Jello shots with edible flowers in the center made by a lady in the Mission. At the end of the evening we had Sonoma County school buses pick up everyone and take them back to the hotel for an after party.
