Kate Spade Inspired Wedding from Jasmine Star Photography

Can I be honest? I love pink. And glitter. And polka dots and really any kind of girly goodness. I know, I know…I’m pretty much fulfilling every blogger stereotype out there but when this sort of Kate Spade-inspired shoot comes my way, I just can’t contain the giddies. But behind all the poppy colors and bold prints are the real stars of this show. Vendors like Jasmine StarLindye Galloway Design and LVL Weddings & Events who pored over the details and brought all my school-girl dreams life. You seriously can’t miss the full gallery because this, my dears, is what playful wedding inspiration is all about.

From Lindye Galloway DesignWith spring in the air and summer fast approaching we put together a bold shoot that exudes color, layers of patterns, and plenty of design eye candy! Desiring a modern feel, the location for the shoot is in an art gallery that is the perfect blank canvas to build upon. First is the ceremony! A colorful striped runner rests between the sea of ghost chairs, leading up to the aisle and (drum roll for a unique twist) continues several feet up the wall for a dramatic effect. Flanking each side of the runner are custom-built vertical flower gardens that I made from large PVC pipe… and was no small feat! Filling some of the pipes are overflowing, luscious flowers that add a soft and cascading touch to the other exposed pipes. Next is the reception! Mimicking the ceremony runner are panels of polka dotted fabric that run under the table and up the wall. A white wood table grounds the reception area with ghost chairs giving a reveal to the fabric underneath. Lining the length of the table are flower vessels created out of PVC pipe, simply adorned with ribbon, and filled with an overabundance of gorgeous flowers. Each place setting features a unique custom place mat that was made out of plexiglass, highlighting the menu with the guest’s name and darling silverware graphics. Each plate is wrapped in a napkin and secured with a ring to create a bow. Also donning a bow is the beautiful cake with polka dots and a cascading circle backdrop. The eye-catching bride is outfitted in a stunning dress with a sweet tulle pouf that is the perfect compliment to her smashing groom in a slim fitting grey suit.
