You know how I know that this Sydney couple is awesome? Well, besides the fact that they are obviously the sweetest duo ever and spent their entire e-session laughing and smiling? Because they went for milkshakes post-session to wrap up their day. Cutest (+ yummiest) thing ever? Yes, indeed. Also the cutest? From the Bride… It was a perfect summer’s day when Andrew and I met up with Nick from Skipping Stone Photography for our engagement photo session at the beautiful Freshwater Beach on Sydney’s Northern Peninsula.
We were excited to be taking some photos at our local favourite beach as our wedding was to be held in tropical Fiji. We were looking forward to capturing our love with the stunning Sydney beach skyline as the backdrop.
We had a magical afternoon: enjoying a stroll along the boardwalk, having fun with balloons in a nearby park, running along the sand and looking out over the breathtaking coastline views. We often forgot that we were having photos taken and just got caught up enjoying the moment!
My engagement surprise for Andrew was, in a nod to his Scottish heritage, two oathing stones engraved with our names and the wedding date. We kept one for ourselves and later threw the other into the ocean by the chapel where we were married in Fiji.
Although the official proposal had taken place a few months before, Andrew surprised me with a heart shaped stone with “marry me” written on the front. So sweet!
It really was a dreamy day filled with lots of love and laughter. After the session, we went for milkshakes at the local milk bar. A perfect end to a perfect day.
