St-Germain Signature Cocktail Inspired by Soft Romance

We’re taking a quick break from the wedding festivities of Molly Sims + Scott Stuber to celebrate the art of cocktail hour. Fun, right? Inspired by both the many beautiful weddings we come across on a daily basis and an undying love for a good cocktail, we partnered with St-Germain for a series on taking the cocktail hour and really transforming it into details that are totally in sync with your wedding day style. We’ve delved into vintage glamor and nautical-inspired seaside cocktails, and now we’re getting cozy with all things romance.

Our inspiration was found in soft, feminine colors, long flowing dresses and gorgeous florals, such as trailing wisteria and lavender sprigs. Now enter La Rosette, a beauty made for a day surrounded by romance, something that St-Germain pairs oh so perfectly with.

For our take on this St-Germain + Rosé beaut, we served the La Rosette up in etched floral champagne glasses rimmed in lavender sugar. And you best believe there was a tasting party as soon as these images were snapped by our fabulous photo guru, Heidi of White Loft Studio. Needless to say, the La Rosette comes highly recommended by the gang at SMP.

And no St-Germain cocktail would be complete without a crazy good DIY to accompany those apertifs. Friends and lovers of creative cocktailing, meet the ever so pretty Cocktail Menu Serving Tray. She’s a stunner, isn’t she? And totally easy. Seriously, my husband could do this with his eyes closed, and let’s just say DIYing is not his forte. Need more proof? Check out the how-to below. And for even more inspiration of the signature cocktail kind, check out St-Germain’s board dedicated to all things cocktail hour over on our Pinterest page.

Vintage brass serving trays (we found ours on Etsy)

Ivory spray paint

White paper

Cocktail menu template (use Adobe Illustrator CS6 to edit)

Bellucia font

Bordeaux Roman font

Exacto knife

Scissors

Spray adhesive

Download the cocktail menu template, and edit to fit your menu.

Print out the menu. If your tray is larger than 10″ at its widest point, you can print it out on several sheets of paper, trim the excess border paper, and glue together.

Trace the outline of your tray on the backside of your paper. Use scissors to cut along that line.

Place the menu in the tray. Use the exacto knife to cut around the rim, removing any paper that doesn’t fit neatly into the tray.

Remove the menu and lay it face down on some scrap cardboard or paper. Spray the spray adhesive evenly over the menu backside. Flip it over and place in the center of your tray, using your fingers to smooth out any air bubbles. For extra tray protection when passing drinks, you could cut a thin sheet of clear plastic to fit over the menu.
