You can’t get much more romantic than blushing pink blooms and mercury glass a plenty. From Southern Protocol…Paige wanted her wedding to be intimate and romantic. I advised her to remember that in making her decisions- think timeless and on a budget- we played off the “built in” decor of the Riverhouse, the black and white floor and toile curtains- by using neutral linens and bringing subtle pops of color and texture in the flowers and textured milk glass. The twinkle lights drew everybody outside in spite of a slight nip in the air and guests fought off the winter chill with propane heaters and a fire pit. Paige is sentimental and comes from an extremely tight family. Sam was a close family friend LONG before the two started dating. To emphasize the importance of family, three generations of wedding photos were displayed at the cake table and guests took home mason jars containing handmade pickles from Mimi and Jalapeno Jam from Pops (Grandma and Gramps). Paige has a very “vintage” look to her, and we LOVED that she used her Mimi’s fur stole at the end of the night for sparkler sendoff – she looked like a throwback 1950’s movie star leaving for her honeymoon.
